Wine:

Molded by time and a unique chalky soil, with 25% of the juices vinified in wood, the 2015 Cristal Champagne perfectly aligns with the continental trend of the decade: the 2015 vintage has, more than ever, produced ripe and structured wines, crowned with a bold freshness driven by these white soils. It presents itself today in eternal youth, with pure fruit, superior finesse, phenomenal minerality, and a distinguished length. Initially, the nose reveals hints of yellow fruits, toasted almond, and chardonnay harvest, combined with the juicy red fruits of pinot noir. Then comes the great energy of the structure, its vibratory intensity that transforms into a soft caress, a silky texture where delicate flavors of candied citrus and iodized spices emerge. The calcareous character of the vintage thus bursts forth in a tonic, vertical effervescence, with insistent, precise, and finely chiseled freshness. This fidelity to the soil is owed to its permanence; Cristal is a wine that exists over time, through the seasons, maturation, transmission, and pursuit. Cristal 2015 is a legendary bottle, with a unique identity in the history of great Champagne wines. Rated 95+/100 by Parker and 97/100 by James Suckling.

A cornerstone of Champagne excellence and awarded 3 stars by the RVF Guide, the Louis Roederer Champagne stands out as perhaps the most refined embodiment of these sparkling wines.

Committed to organic and biodynamic farming for twenty years and engaged in an unending quest for perfection, the Reims-based House has now achieved a pinnacle of excellence, epitomized by its iconic cuvée, Cristal, one of Champagne's greatest achievements.

Originally crafted for Tsar Alexander II, Cristal is arguably the most renowned Champagne cuvée worldwide. A cult cuvée from 70 parcels of the Cristal estate, cultivated organically; these exceptional lieux-dits have been patiently established since 1845 by generations of the Louis Roederer House and are tended with a winemaker's approach, using methods inspired by permaculture. These parcels are exclusively located in Grand Crus: 40% planted with Chardonnay on the slopes of Avize, Cramant, and Mesnil-sur-Oger, and 60% with Pinot Noir on the slopes of Ay, Verzenay, Verzy, and Beaumont-sur-Vesle.
