Wine:

The Grande Cuvée 172nd Edition is the most generous expression of Champagne—a truly magical creation from Krug. Built around the outstanding 2016 vintage, it features a blend of 146 wines from 11 different vintages, dating back to 1998, and aged for seven years in the cellar. It opens with delicate notes of almonds and white flowers, leading to a finely chiseled palate that is complex, remarkably long, and mouthwatering. The silky, perfectly controlled bubbles add an elegant touch of power. Already extraordinary, this Champagne will only gain further depth with time in the bottle. Awarded an impressive 98/100 by RVF.

Krug is a legendary Champagne house, renowned for producing only prestige cuvées. At its heart lies the iconic Grande Cuvée, a masterpiece blending dozens of wines from complementary vintages, aged for at least seven years. Now numbered, this cuvée remains true to its unique character, embodying the spirit of the house with unrivaled consistency.

With exceptional reserve wines and meticulous barrel aging, Krug captivates seasoned connoisseurs and leaves a lasting impression on newcomers alike.

This extraordinary precision and consistency have earned Krug 4 stars in the RVF wine guide—an honor achieved by only three Champagne houses. In late 2024, La Revue des Vins de France further recognized it as the “Number 1 Champagne House.”
