Perfectly ripe, the 2019 white Alsace Grand Cru Pinot Gris Brand has a very fresh palette of fresh fruit, citrus and spices. The palate remains surprisingly light, fruity, ripe and elegant, finely acidic, lingering in pure delight. An inventive and ideal interpretation of this powerful granite terroir, to be reserved as an aperitif with a fish terrine, some foie gras toast, or why not a white meat with lemon sauce. Rated 93/100 by the Committee.Vinification:
Hand-harvested. 32-year-old vines, near Niedermorschwihr, granite soil, steep slope. Whole-bunch pressing, static settling, no thermoregulation. Fermentation for 2 to 6 months, then aged on lees for 11 months. Natural residual sugar: 9 g/l (Vin Demi-Sec)Color:
