Wine:
The quest for concentration in Pinot Noir is undeniable here! The 2022 Red Sancerre Charlouise comes from 1.5 hectares of vines over 55 years old, on the finest parcels in Bué, planted by the parents Charles and Louise. This is a cuvée of great style, with remarkable ripeness and rare power for Sancerre, yet always balanced by vibrant freshness and an extra touch of finesse unique to this wine. Elegant and refined, it will reach its full harmony in the coming years. A rare wine to be decanted two hours before serving in wide glasses. Rated 93/100 by RVF.Vinification:
Hand harvested. 100% destemmed, fermented with indigenous yeasts, gently extracted by pumping over. Aged in barrels (8% new wood) for 17 to 20 months, depending on the vintage. No additives other than a small amount of volcanic sulfur produced by the estate during bottling. Unfined and unfiltered.Organic estate since 2004 and biodynamic estate since 2018, without certification. Application for certification in progress.
