"V.P." stands for “prolonged aging,” and the Blanc Grand Cru V.P. Extra-Brut embraces this extended maturation with exceptional finesse. Francis Egly has a passion for Champagnes that reward patience, expressing their full power and elegance over time. This cuvée, aged for more than seven years in the cellar after barrel vinification—a signature approach at the estate—emerges as a Champagne of remarkable depth. Rich and structured by Pinot Noir, it gains vibrancy from the chalky terroirs and balance from a touch of Chardonnay. The result is a Champagne with a beautifully refined texture and long, sophisticated flavors—truly a pleasure to savor.

From now on

The embodiment of Champagne excellence, with 4 stars in the RVF Guide (Revue du Vin de France)—the ultimate recognition—Egly-Ouriet has earned its reputation through uncompromising standards. Spanning nearly 17 hectares, including 10 hectares classified as Grand Cru (Ambonnay, Bouzy, and Verzenay) and two hectares of Premier Cru in the Vrigny terroir, Francis Egly has created a legacy few houses can match, now working alongside his son Charles and daughter Clémence. The balance and finesse of their wines are unparalleled, setting a benchmark for classicism in Champagne.

From the very first cuvée in the range, the style impresses with integrity, blending strength and finesse while showcasing the mastery of Pinot Noir. These are full-bodied champagnes, crafted from very old vines, fermented in barrels, and aged for extended periods to mature and reveal their full potential at the perfect moment. Purity, nobility, and complexity consistently shine through with remarkable regularity.
