Wine:

The 1999 white Ermitage De l'Orée is one of the greatest bottles of this mythical wine. With a complex aromatic palette and exceptional maturity, this wine of pure Marsanne expresses sublime notes of spices and delicate honey, perfectly achieved. After several years of evolution, the wine touches the sublime so much that the matter is elegant and persistent. Rated 99/100 by Parker.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Vines aged between 60 and 70 years.
Pressing and cold settling of the must for about 24 hours. Fermentation for about 50% in demi-muids with regular stirring of the lees and for the rest in vats.
Aging on lees in oak barrels for 10 to 12 months, followed by frequent tastings and regular stirring of the lees for 6 months.

Color:

Bright yellow gold.

Nose:

Intense and expressive on beautiful bright aromas of lemon. The whole underlined by floral notes, acacia and hawthorn.

Palate:

The first taste is frank and ample; it expresses complex flavors of ripe fruits and fine spices. A magnificent persistence in palate releases a fresh final.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C

Veal Orloff, poularde à la crème, lobster with beurre blanc, Saint-Félicien with truffles.

From now until 2029 and beyond for enthusiasts.
