Reminiscent of a great Côte d’Or wine, the 2022 white Pouilly-Fuissé Vieilles Vignes opens with beautifully expressive toasted and grilled notes. This is a superbly balanced Chardonnay, showing perfect ripeness with a touch of fresh butter and a vibrant mineral character. For optimal enjoyment, consider aerating it in a wide glass or decanting upon opening. The palate is concentrated yet fresh, with impeccable structure, promising at least six years of graceful evolution. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee.Vinification:
Hand harvested. Direct pressing. Light settling. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation with 100% indigenous yeasts and ageing on the fine lees for 14 months in barrels (10% new), without stirring, then for one month in stainless steel vats. Fining and light filtration. Bottling according to the lunar calendar.Color:
