Working with century-old vines at over 500 meters of altitude, he embraces a refined, French-inspired aging process in large oak barrels, scrutinizing every detail to bring out the best of each terroir. Praised by Parker and increasingly sought after by wine lovers, his reputation is soaring—along with the demand for his wines.
Wine With remarkable depth, the 2021 Red Anza Rioja opens with generous aromas of macerated fruits, dark berries, and spice. The palate mirrors this ripe, expressive profile with impressive density and volume, framed by firm yet beautifully refined tannins. Vinification Hand harvested. Vines aged 60 years at 560-620 metres above sea level. Plot-based wine-making in 4000 litre vats, 500 litre open barrels or 1000 litre steel vats. Part aged in 4000 litre wooden vats for 12 months, the other part in 500 litre barrels.
