The estate and the wine |

|
A pioneer in organic farming, Marc Plouzeau has transformed Chinon's Château de la Bonnelière into a hub of innovation. Although the vineyards have been in his family since 1846, he has revitalized their approach, converting all 33 hectares to organic cultivation.
The extensive range of wines showcases the full spectrum of Cabernet Franc, balancing suppleness, energy, and power, while taking advantage of the diverse terroirs of gravel, clay-limestone, and silica soils. This splendid mosaic of vineyards produces magnificent cuvées, including the exquisitely delicate Clos de la Bonnelière, which has garnered much acclaim... |

The 2022 Red Chinon 4ème Génération is deep and vibrant, boasting beautifully ripe, concentrated fruit with notes of black truffle and graphite, echoing the essence of Cabernet Franc. With its ample, dense, and fleshy juice, pulpy structure, and well-integrated, wrapped tannins, this wine forms an outstanding ensemble—a magnificent bottle to be cherished for 8 to 10 years. |
