The estate and the wine Situated on the most remarkable terroir of Saint-Estèphe, Château Calon-Ségur stands as the most understated among the Grand Cru Classés of Médoc. Yet, with unwavering consistency, it crafts some of the most distinguished wines known for their immense aging potential and legendary longevity.
Wine Riding on the success of the Médoc vintage, the 2018 red Saint-Estèphe de Calon Ségur is both complete and amiable. This wine is vinous and pronounced, with a solid structure of tannins that add depth and breadth to its well-built frame.
Vinification Harvested by hand. Alcoholic fermentation for 18 to 21 days in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats, followed by malolactic fermentation in stainless-steel vats.
