The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Under the stewardship of Giorgio Cavanna, a star winemaker from Chianti’s Castello di Ama, and guided by Bertrand Léon, son of the former winemaker at Château Mouton-Rothschild, the Grand Enclos du Château de Cérons has risen to prominence as one of the standout names in its appellation. Today, it produces premium wines that beautifully capture the Bordeaux style, striking the perfect balance between power and elegance.
Wine The 2019 Red Graves is a textbook example of a well-made Bordeaux, offering delicious notes of dark fruits and candied fruit, complemented by subtle, well-integrated aging. With a solid structure, it shows serious concentration and fine, abundant tannins. A beautifully crafted Bordeaux, ready to enjoy now. Rated 92/100 by the Selection Committee.
Vinification Hand harvested. Total de-stemming, alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel truncated-cone tanks, long vatting periods of 4 to 5 weeks. Aged in barrels for 12 to 14 months (35% in new barrels, 45% in barrels that have contained a previous wine).
