The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Founded in 2016, Côtes et Climats Pierre Mayeul crafts Burgundies with a strong sense of identity and an unwavering commitment to quality. Frédéric Hirault, Matthieu Bouchard, and Ludivine Griveau meticulously select the finest grapes, guided by deep technical expertise and an intimate knowledge of Burgundy’s greatest terroirs.

Distinctive character, limited volumes, and prestigious vineyards—a seemingly simple formula, yet one executed with absolute precision and no compromises. At the heart of this vision is Ludivine Griveau, whose experience and intuition drive the project with the same high standards she has upheld throughout her career.
Wine From a parcel at the lower part of the village, the 2021 Red Gevrey-Chambertin  delivers a deep, aromatic, and beautifully ripe expression. Dark berry and violet notes are enhanced by a touch of spice, while the subtle oak aging adds depth without overpowering the wine’s purity. With great structure, superb balance, and a long, fresh finish, this is a brilliant reflection of both terroir and vintage.
Vinification Hand-harvested, 100% destemmed, 16-day maceration in open stainless steel vats, aged 16 months in French oak barrels (30% new), bottled unfined with light filtration.
