The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine An ancestral family of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the Mestre have been historical figures in the appellation. The lieu-dit Côte de l’Ange gave its name to the current estate, which is now managed by the founders' heirs, Corinne Gasparri and her son Jules. They oversee about ten hectares of vineyards, well-distributed across the appellation, incorporating a variety of soils including limestone, sand, clay, and iron-rich substrates.

Often overlooked, this estate deserves to be discovered for its perfectly crafted wines, judiciously aged in concrete vats and barrels, without excess.
Wine A Selection Committee favorite, the 2023 white Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a limited cuvée of great purity. Pure and fresh, with hints of toasted sesame, white flowers, and fine minerality, it offers an immediately captivating and coherent nose. The palate continues in the same vein of precision and harmony, without any oak influence, but with ripe, precise, and elongated juice, featuring a beautiful tangy finish, a certain breadth, and generosity. This wine begs to be enjoyed at the table, with sea bass or sea bream in a salt crust, and can be aged for at least 10 years. Rated 94/100 by the Selection Committee.
Vinification Hand harvested. 100% destemming, pneumatic pressing. Vinification 80% in vats & 20% in barrels.
