Largely under the radar but closely followed by our sommelier Christian Martray, Estate Castagnier crafts wines that truly reflect their Burgundian origins. Jérôme Castagnier meticulously tends to some of the region’s most prestigious terroirs—Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey-Saint-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny, and Vougeot—with unwavering dedication. His approach blends biodynamic-inspired practices with traditional barrel aging, incorporating a careful proportion of new oak to enhance complexity while preserving the purity of each cru. |

From a 35-are parcel on the mid-slope, where limestone-rich brown soils shape its character, the 2022 Red Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru stands out for its elegance and finesse. The silky, beautifully structured tannins enhance its flavorful, seamless texture, making it effortlessly captivating. Rated 98/100 by the Selection Committee. |
