The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Starred in the RVF Guide, Daniel Crochet is now one of the leading figures in Sancerre. And for good reason: talented and versatile, he benefits from the finest parcels in the Bué area and performs titanic work both in the vineyard and the cellar. He excels with his cuvées of Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc alike.

Each cuvée is a perfect expression of its terroir, and the progression over recent vintages is impressive, with cultivation now certified as biodynamic.
Wine Supported by a beautiful, ripe, and complete vintage, the 2022 Red Sancerre unfolds elegantly with notes of warm cherries and a subtle hint of oak, delivering a straightforward expression of Pinot Noir. This wine is sleek, firm, and concentrated without excess, maintaining both purity and precision. It's a versatile and digestible wine to enjoy over the next 5 to 6 years, pairing wonderfully with dishes like fish in a tomato or red wine sauce. Rated 92-93/100 by the Selection Committee.
Vinification Hand harvested, total or partial destemming depending on the vintage. Cold maceration for 6 to 14 days before fermentation with indigenous yeasts, regular pumping over and light punching of the cap. Vatting time of 18 to 30 days. Aged for 12 months, 40% in barrels and 60% in wooden vats, then transferred to concrete vats for 6 months. Bottled on the estate.
