The estate and the wine |
A legend of Barolo and Piedmont, Giuseppe Mascarello stands as one of Italy's most prestigious names. Founded in the late 19th century, this historic, family-run estate has remained true to tradition, employing gentle, environmentally respectful methods without any artificial interventions.
Boasting a remarkable vineyard heritage across 15 hectares, it notably includes 6 hectares of the famous Monprivato, a prestigious cru almost exclusively owned by the estate. Added to this are ideally situated plots and a precision-driven expertise inspired by the greatest Burgundies. This is why its wines have captivated enthusiasts worldwide, making them highly sought after. Owning a few bottles is both a challenge and a privilege. |

Crafted with the same meticulous care as their Barolo and originating from the marl soils of Perno, the 2020 red Barbera d’Alba Vigna Santo Stefano di Perno delivers a delicious and impressively pure performance. Balancing finesse and depth, this expressive red offers a seductive, dense, and pure juice that is already utterly irresistible. A great wine, to be enjoyed now or saved for later. |
