The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Owned by Maison Louis Jadot and awarded 2 stars by the RVF Guide, Château des Jacques is unquestionably the most Burgundy-like estate in the Beaujolais region. With a distinctive drive and elegance, its wines outperform their peers and regularly compete with the highest standards of the Côte.
Wine Delicate and floral, the 2021 red Moulin-à-Vent has a delicate profile and character. The palate is silky and smooth with subtle touches of oak. It is crafted from a blend of eight parcels on Rochegrès and Haut de Carquelin, which together provide a beautiful synthesis of the estate's style and the appellation. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee.
Vinification Hand-harvested. 1/3 matured in vats, the remainder in barrels of 1 to 2 wines, plus a few new barrels.
