Michel Chapoutier’s quest for excellence continues in Roussillon at Domaine de Bila-Haut. A pioneer of biodynamic farming, he brings the same philosophy to these southern terroirs that has made him one of the world’s most respected winemakers.
With his signature touch, he expertly blends Mediterranean grape varieties, crafting wines of remarkable depth and pure enjoyment.
This single-vineyard cuvée is a shining example—sourced from the high-altitude terroir of Latour de France, where limestone cliffs shape reds of striking intensity, freshness, and impressive aging potential. |

The 2019 red Côtes du Roussillon Villages Latour de France Occultum Lapidem is yet another standout success. Its intense aromas of macerated fruit, complemented by subtle oak aging, create a perfect expression of a southern wine with a well-balanced Mediterranean character. The ripe, concentrated juice is framed by fine yet structured tannins, with Grenache bringing depth and Carignan adding a fresh, lifted edge. A beautiful bottle to enjoy now with coq au vin or a Provençal daube, or to cellar for a few more years. |
