|
Sicily is a fabulous source of delightful cuvées made from unique indigenous varieties. This volcanic land, colonized by vineyards, is also one of the oldest in the world, blessed with a Mediterranean climate and the coolness of altitude.
It is in this paradise that Cantine Ermes crafts succulent cuvées from the delicate and renowned Nero d'Avola grape. Since 1998, situated in the heart of the Belice Valley, this association of vintners produces these specialties, drawing a maximum of expressions from the southwest of the island. |

Ripe and concentrated, the 2022 red Sicilia Nero d'Avola is a smooth and indulgent wine, characterized by a fresh and immediate appeal. Its spicy aromas, delicately smoky, do not overshadow the plentiful, juicy, and fleshy fruit, framed by still young and firm tannins, destined to mellow. A delightful discovery of this grape variety, best enjoyed within the next two years with dishes like pissaladière, lasagna, or tapas. Rated 90/100 by the Selection Committee. |
