The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A truly exceptional wine! This "Chef de Caves 1961" wine from the House of Mumm is a collector's item reserved in a limited number of bottles and in Magnum format at that!

The ultimate expression of the House style, this rare champagne comes straight out of the Mumm Oenothèque from Cellar Master Laurent Fresnet. These long-aged wines bear witness to the consistency of Mumm champagnes over time.
Wine The 1961 white Mumm Cordon Rouge Champagne surprises with its balance, power, and finesse. Toasted and vanilla aromas dominate the nose, with a hint of coffee and light tobacco. The fine effervescence reveals notes of ripe fruit and honey, adding a delicate touch. The long, persistent finish rounds out this wine of great character, both complex and refined, destined for a meal, ideally with shellfish, caviar, and, of course, a duck. Great occasions call for great wines! Especially in this Magnum format, which enhances flavors tenfold and preserves the wine's slower evolution.
