The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A major player in Brunello di Montalcino, Tenuta Col d’Orcia is one of Tuscany’s most renowned estates. Founded in 1890 on a hill overlooking the Orcia River, it is one of the oldest estates in the village—rich in history and tradition, reflecting the heart of Italy.

Now managed by the Cinzano family, their wines are a testament to the estate's success, sought after by top restaurants and wine lovers worldwide. With nearly 145 hectares of vineyards, it is the largest in the region and a true icon of Montalcino.
Wine Full of the vibrant energy of this great terroir, the 2021 Red Rosso di Montalcino is a Sangiovese of remarkable clarity. The floral nose, with notes of rose and peony, carries a hint of wood and a fresh touch of eucalyptus. The wine is well-balanced, with perfectly ripe fruit flavors, still slightly influenced by the wood at this stage, and prominent tannins. A beautiful classic from this region, it has great potential to age for 10 years. Rated 92/100 by the Selection Committee.
Vinification Hand harvested. Temperature-controlled fermentation. Aged for 12 months in oak tuns.
