Located in Verzenay, Maison Quenardel & Fils is the understated sibling of Maison J.M. Labruyère, which also owns the esteemed Domaine Jacques Prieur in Burgundy. With just 6 hectares under cultivation, meticulous care is taken to produce refined champagnes with minimal dosage, exemplified by their impeccable Brut Réserve. |

Featuring chardonnay and pinot noir in low dosage, the Brut Réserve Champagne opens with a very pure nose around beautiful floral scents provided by the chardonnay. The generous, full-bodied structure, punctuated by a refreshing thread of acidity, reveals its beauty with a fine final bitterness that prolongs and amplifies the wine's relief. A cuvée that's perfect as an aperitif or with pressed, cooked cheeses. A wonderful discovery. Rated 93/100 by the Comité. |
