The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Roche de Bellene is an elite house. Its founder, Nicolas Potel, makes some of the most sensual wines in Burgundy. Very old vines, organic farming… are all finely regulated parameters that forge wines of great caliber, filled with sincere and abundant flavors of fruit. The level reached today is simply astonishing, and Olivier Poussier is enthusiastic about each of his wines. Even the regional ones reach an enviable level of quality...
Wine Beautifully textured, the 2018 white Burgundy Hautes Côtes de Beaune unfolds a generous and full-bodied palate with plenty of grace. It is a well-matured wine, destined for the table, that can be aired beforehand and then served with white meat with cream, rated 91/100 by the Committee.
Vinification Hand harvested, fermentation under indigenous yeasts, malolactic fermentation carried out in totality.
Aged in oak barrels, without any new wood.
