The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Domaine Sérol has unlocked the extraordinary potential of the Loire Valley’s volcanic soils, crafting wines that are both distinctive and precise. At the heart of their work is Gamay Saint-Romain, producing fresh, vibrant wines with remarkable complexity and charm.

Awarded two stars by the RVF Guide (Revue du Vin de France, one of France’s most prestigious wine guides), the estate is now a leading name in the Loire Valley. With biodynamic practices, high-altitude vineyards on sandy granite soils, and the dedication of Stéphane and Carine Sérol, these wines offer exceptional depth and refinement.
Wine Rated 94/100 by the Selection Committee, the 2023 Red Côte Roannaise Éclat de Granite delivers a beautiful expression of Gamay Saint-Romain on granite soils. In this fresh and delicate vintage, it shows off with depth and richness, offering silky tannins and delightful notes of cherry coulis, violet, and rose, all perfectly ripe. This is a smooth, refreshing wine, perfect to pair with meat. As noted by the RVF Guide (Revue du Vin de France, a prestigious French wine guide): “Surely one of the best ambassadors of the appellation, as it so effortlessly expresses the very best of the terroir with spontaneity and precision.”
