The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A brilliant new success from Xavier Vignon! An international expert and leading advisor to the most successful Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines, this seasoned winemaker makes his own wines according to his own personal criteria, with all the talent and success that we know him for.

On the highly-rated terroir of Gigondas, which has been elevated to the rank of Cru, he crafts an ideal wine with a modern profile, supported by great Grenache grapes (95% of the blend). A new achievement with an impressive quality-price ratio.
Wine The 2019 Red Gigondas is a complete success. The flavors offer a great harmony between black fruits, spices, dried flowers and delicate wood. The palate is balanced, and offers juicy tannins and a very creamy texture. It is a concentrated wine, served by a beautiful freshness, and pure and abundant aromas of fruit. The whole is very pleasant, praised for its generosity, freshness and intensity. Rated 93+/100 by our Selection Committee and 93/100 by Robert Parker, it simply cannot leave anyone indifferent.
Vinification Hand harvested. More than 30 plots of land located on limestone scree in the foothills of the Dentelles de Montmirail. Old vines aged between 80 and 100 years. Total de-stemming. Vinification of the grape varieties together in vats, then after malolactic fermentation, maturation in truncated wooden vats.
