Created in 1999, Terrazas de Los Andes blends with subtlety and fervor the French expertise with exceptional Argentinian terroirs. On the steep slopes of the Andes Mountains, in the heart of the Mendoza region, the vineyard is located in a breathtaking landscape, between 980 and 1800 meters of altitude. Internationally recognized for the intensity and the character of its wines, the Bodega enjoys a constant popularity, and is now one of the most prized estates in the world.

This Cheval des Andes wine was born from the alliance between the famous Château Cheval Blanc and the Argentinean bodega, on 50 hectares of isolated vineyards within the Andean estate. It offers the quintessence of this Bodega, skillfully blending the power of South America with the finesse of the Bordeaux style. 

Rated 98/100 Parker, the 2019 Red Mendoza Cheval des Andes scores another success. Returning to a blend similar to the origins of the wine's creation, equal parts Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, this vintage was piloted by a Frenchman, Gérald Gabillet, who was newly appointed cellar master. With a revised maturation with more barrels from the Stockinger cooperage, for some added finesse, the wine shows great balance, and is ripe to perfection. Still shy at this young stage, it already has all the elements of a certain aging potential; tannic richness, structure and length make an exciting version of this star wine!
