This year again, the 2023 red Côtes du Roussillon Les Sorcières maintains its delicious and vibrant trajectory. The limestone foundation, elevation, and significant proportion of Syrah (alongside Grenache and Carignan) thrust the wine forward with fruity momentum. A nose of licorice, smoky notes, and bacon envelops an intense and very ripe black fruit, without any overt oaky characteristics; the palate is a concentrated, dense, and spicy coulis, with flavors of tapenade and bay leaf. The ensemble is already so enticing, the tannins so velvety, that it's entirely conceivable to enjoy it right now. Best paired with grilled meat. A favorite of the Committee, rated 93/100.

The 2021 red Côtes du Roussillon Villages Vieilles Vignes is a little gem of excellence! A great wine that breathes all the scents of the south, including bay leaf, black fruits, stone fruits, peony, along with a smoky touch and a well-integrated noble oakiness. It boasts beautiful complexity and a fresh ensemble that extends into the palate, in a fleshy, concentrated, and mature style, with hints of violet, framed by firm and smooth tannins. A superb wine for aging and harmony, capable of gracefully aging through the decade. Rated 94/100 by the Committee.
