With 3 stars in the RVF Guide and a reputation that’s hard to match, Yves Canarelli oversees some of Corsica’s most exceptional terroirs. Since his debut vintage in 1997, this relentless perfectionist has been on a constant quest for excellence. Farming nearly 40 hectares biodynamically in Figari and Bonifacio, he works with native grape varieties best suited to the island’s unique terroir and his winemaking vision.

A model vigneron, Canarelli produces some of the most spectacular wines of the Mediterranean arc. Known for their fresh, saline character, his wines consistently stand out as benchmarks of Corsican viticulture, shaping the region’s identity with a range that leaves no room for compromise.

We’re excited to present the latest vintages from the Clos in three expressions. These exceptional cuvées showcase the depth and character that have made this estate a standout.

The 2023 Corse Figari Rosé stands out with its unique style, far from the typical Provençal rosés, fully embracing its own identity. Refreshing and crisp, this rosé is perfect both as an aperitif and at the table, offering vibrant notes of pink berries and stone fruits. On the palate, it reveals an elegant, lively, and refreshing character, with a delicate, lasting finish. It pairs beautifully with seafood, sea urchins, or fried fish, making it ideal from the first sip. Rated 92/100 by RVF and 93/100 by the Selection Committee.

A faithful ambassador of the estate's style, the 2022 Corse Figari Red, composed of 40% Niellucciu and 40% Sciaccarellu, delivers a deep and dense wine with impressive maturity. It opens with notes of cherry, spice, Sichuan pepper, and hints of wild herbs and dried grasses. Though youthful, it already shows great character, with high-quality tannins and ripe, refined fruit that’s perfectly balanced and fresh, ensuring an easy-to-drink finish. The subtle oak aging in large barrels and demi-muids is well-integrated. This wine has the potential to age for over a decade. A remarkable Corsican red that is both complex and refreshing. Rated 94/100 by RVF and 93-94/100 by the Selection Committee.

The 2023 Corse Figari White, made from pure Vermentinu grown on granite soils and aged in large Stockinger barrels and demi-muids without new oak, is an elite cuvée! Dynamic, fresh, and beautifully tense, this elegant white opens with notes of citrus and lemon, showcasing the perfect balance of maturity and freshness that Vermentinu offers, with a subtle hint of vanilla from the aging process. Its fine texture, pure and complex structure, reveals a crystalline clarity with refined saline and almond flavors. A delightful white wine that pairs perfectly with grilled fish. Rated 93/100 by RVF and the Selection Committee.
