Domaine Pernot Père et Fils is one such discovery. Established over a century ago in the Côte de Nuits, particularly in Gevrey-Chambertin, this 7-hectare estate is now overseen by Pascal Pernot. Known for producing refined and expressive wines, it continues to offer remarkable quality at accessible prices for the region.

This Gevrey-Chambertin couldn’t have arrived at a better time. A standout from our recent tasting at the Roi Chambertin event, which brings together many of the region’s producers, it offers exceptional value for such a highly sought-after appellation.

The 2023 Red Gevrey-Chambertin is a shining example of its appellation. Elegantly structured, it offers depth and freshness, with aromas of red and black fruit delicately supported by fine oak aging that enhances its complexity. The balance and finesse of this wine make it a classic Burgundy, ideal for enjoying within the next year or two. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee.
