Today, Stéphane Ogier is at the top of his game, standing as a benchmark in the northern Rhône Valley. His recent vintages showcase incredible precision, with a more restrained use of oak, meticulous selection of single-vineyard wines, and a refined signature style that places his estate among the Rhône’s finest.

Every wine reflects this commitment to precision and excellence—even the more approachable ones, like La Rosine, often considered a "baby Côte-Rôtie" and a standout favorite of the Selection Committee.

Bordering the Côte-Rôtie appellation to the south, the 2022 La Rosine Red (Vin de France) transcends its classification, standing out as a remarkable expression of its terroir. As Robert Parker describes it, this is “a little Côte-Rôtie that doesn’t know it yet.” The wine opens with enticing smoky and savory bacon notes, delivering a striking purity that feels effortlessly expressive. On the palate, it remains tightly structured, concentrated, and ripe, yet remarkably fresh, with fine-grained tannins. The result is a beautifully balanced, irresistibly flavorful wine that is ready to enjoy now but will continue to evolve gracefully for at least another five years. A Selection Committee favorite, awarded 93/100.
