Wine:

Complex, intensely mineral, the 2022 white Vin de France Silice has a nose of great purity, with flowers and white fruits reminiscent of Comice pear and rock water. The palate offers generous volume, curved by natural acidity and a beautiful mineral sparkle, combining liveliness and freshness, supported by restrained ageing. We particularly appreciate this crystalline Savoyard expression. A Selection Committee Favorite rated 93/100.

Color:

Bright, light gold.

Nose:

Aromas of comice & passe-crassane pears and quince mixed with delicate notes of white flowers.

Palate:

Sapid and digestible, bright, invigorating, lively and fresh, seductive by its dynamism, a wine for starters, river fish and mixed salads.
Very pure and crystalline, excellent!

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Veal escalope with Gorgonzola cheese, Comté cheese fondue, cardoon gratin.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2028, and beyond for enthusiasts.

Originally from Champagne, Brice Omont cultivates 16 hectares of biodynamic vines on two hillsides at the entrance to the Tarentaise region at Domaine des Ardoisières. The unspoilt, steep-sided landscapes are absolutely worth seeing, and the work carried out here is Dantesque and commands respect. In the space of two decades, Brice Omont has succeeded in elevating his estate to the summit of Savoie, making it an enviable singularity, and his success extends far beyond the Alps...

The wines are full-bodied and ripe, propelled by skilfully measured ageing, with little wood showing through and blending perfectly with the aging process. These wines are prized by connoisseurs, and their price is skyrocketing: you have to taste them at least once.
