Wine:

With 3% Cabernet Sauvignon and 97% Syrah, the 2018 red Southern Australia Grange is simply "extraordinary"! Born from an exceptional vintage—warm but not excessive—it perfectly embodies the wine's identity, with a monumental aromatic expression of black fruits, spices, and underbrush, and an expansive, integrated, ultra-silky, almost creamy texture. Combining power and velvetiness in total harmony, this Grange exceeds all expectations and meets the highest standards of global viticulture. A natural charmer, opulent and concentrated, with immense persistence, it is a wine for long aging with phenomenal potential. Rated 99/100 by Parker.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Traditional vinification. Aged for 18 months in 300L American oak barrels.

Color:

Deep, brilliant, intense red.

Nose:

Grange's complexity is revealed through aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant reduction mingled with fennel and aniseed, followed by a hint of cocoa underlined by a touch of slate.

Palate:

There is so much to say... a bold, clean, and precise opening with flavors of wild raspberry and licorice, followed by smooth tannins, a vibrant mid-palate, and an endlessly lingering finish. A top-tier cuvée!

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Grainy pigeon with pepper concasse, roast duck with black olives, sautéed prime rib.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2040 and beyond for enthusiasts
