Wine:
Sourced from a 92-are monopole on a granite slope, the 2019 Moulin-à-Vent Le Clos du Moulin-à-Vent Red is the crown jewel of the estate, with remarkable aging potential. From this demanding terroir, where the soil is sparse, Gamay expresses itself with striking purity, delivering powdery, deep aromas with hints of violet and black cherry infusion. The palate is beautifully Burgundian in style, almost reminiscent of Nuits-Saint-Georges, with pronounced minerality, a magical texture, and delicate violet flavors. The finish is fresh and fruit-forward, closing this exceptional wine with incredible energy. Rated 97–98/100 by the Selection Committee, this is a truly monumental wine. In Magnum format, it reaches its full potential, offering heightened emotion, conviviality, and aging capacity.Vinification:
Hand-harvested, completely destemmed. Alcoholic fermentation in concrete vats. Aged in oak barrels (including 10% new wood) and demi-muids for 16 months, then in concrete vats for 2 months.Color:
