Wine:
The 2002 Red Pessac-Léognan Château Haut-Bergey is wonderful. Its color is still shimmering, barely tiled, and still looks young after two decades of evolution. The nose is of great elegance, fine and very pure, with a touch of black truffle, noble perfumes. Silky, mature, this almost twenty year old Graves has retained all its charm and fine tannins. It will be a total pleasure at the table with a leg of lamb or a rack of veal lacquered with honey and sage. Rated 96/100 by our Selection Committee.Vinification:

Owned by the Garcin-Cathiard family, Château Haut-Bergey has undergone a transformation and since the 2018 vintage has been producing organic and biodynamic wines. The 43 hectares of vineyards allow for a fine selection of juices, vinified with a view to aging.
The estate is now competing with the classified growths of Pessac-Léognan and is perfectly in line with them! This pilot property has indeed adopted ambitious and rigorous means and produces well constructed and balanced red wines, endowed with great elegance.
