Wine:

The 2014 Red Saint-Estèphe de Montrose is a model Medoc that's already very accessible today. Its delicate oak, toast and cedar notes take their place in a balanced texture, where freshness and fruitiness combine to perfection. We appreciate the silkiness of the tannins, well blended by several years of ageing, this juice all in nuances which continues on the delicacy of the graphite flavours indissociable from great Cabernets. A model of Left Bank accomplishment!

Vinification:

Hand harvested, aged in wood for 12 months.

Color:

Bright, clear red.

Nose:

Aromas of black fruit mixed with notes of brioche, toast and cedar.

Palate:

Straightforward, with ripe, delicate aromas of fruit. In perfect balance with its evolution, this wine offers a juice full of nuances which continues on the delicacy of the flavors of graphite very typical of Cabernet.

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

All types of meat, preferably red, country or game terrines.

Cellar aging:

All types of meat, preferably red, country or game terrines.

An icon of Saint-Estèphe, Château Montrose is establishing its supremacy with an unparalleled influence. The impetus provided by Martin Bouygues immediately set the pace for the Cru, equipping it with an impressive winery and an elite team led by Hervé Berland, ex-director of Mouton-Rothschild.

The terroir has reacted swiftly to these Formula 1 adjustments, producing models of great Bordeaux capable of braving the test of time. The second wine takes full advantage of this, especially on a fine vintage like 2014, which is offered without excess and which, with its patina of age, is irresistible to drink today.
