Wine:

The 2019 red Haut-Médoc Château La Lagune is a wine of great finesse, with a characteristic style, full of charm and elegance, with aromas of violets, black fruits, and chocolate. The precision and generosity of the vintage are a perfect match, creating a dense and powerful wine that is very sensual, with a subtle saline touch on the finish; it is undoubtedly ready for long years of aging. When it was made, we remarked on its "full body and great nobility of constitution, predicting the best for its evolution..."! Rated 94/100 by Parker.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, meticulous optical sorting. Traditional vinification. Aged in French oak barrels, 50% of which are renewed every year.

Color:

Red of beautiful intensity and brightness.

Nose:

Rich and intense with beautiful concentrated aromas of black fruits, highlighted by some spicy notes of cedar and herbs.

Serve at 16 to 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Suggestions from the estate: poultry with chanterelle mushrooms, roast lamb chop and roasted potatoes, black cherry pie.

Château La Lagune is one of the best in the game. Belonging to the exclusive circle of Grands Crus Classés from the 1855 Medoc classification, this estate has rivaled the level of the regions’ most prestigious signatures for decades.

With its rigorous style, deep aromas of fruit and classical approach, this is one of the most sought-after labels of the moment, propelled to the top by a unique gravelly terroir in this sector.
