Wine:

The refined 2020 red Haut-Médoc Château La Lagune is a must-try. It's an elegant wine, with a concentrated, well-constituted body, built around silky tannins, plenty of freshness and long, fruity, violet flavors. It should be perfect in a decade or more. Superb success, rated 94/100 RVF and 94/100 Parker.

Vinification:

Harvested by hand. Traditional vinification, malolactic fermentation in vats. Aged 15 to 18 months in French oak barrels, 55% of which are new.

Color:

Bright, intense red.

Nose:

Delicate aromas of perfectly ripe red and black fruits, underlined by a hint of spice and dried herbs.

Palate:

Rich and powerful, this blend unfurls a juice of velvety tannins, a dense, concentrated structure and a long, elegant finish.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Poultry with chanterelle mushrooms, roast lamb chop and hash browns, black cherry tart.
