Château Léoville Las Cases - Saint-Julien - Rouge - 2023

An immediate neighbor of the 1er Cru Classé Château Latour, Château Léoville-Las-Cases is universally regarded as one of the greatest wines not only of Bordeaux but of the world, well up there with the Premiers Crus Classés of the Médoc.

With its 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2023 Léoville Las Cases is undoubtedly one of the most structured and slender wines in its history, evoking the excellent 2021 vintage with all its familiar success. This serious, upright, beautifully sheathed wine offers maximum concentration and depth, adorned with tannins of great finesse. Black fruit and a touch of new wood form a taut palate of subtle freshness.

Rated 94-96+/100 by Parker, it offers a huge window of opportunity and will, as usual, we're convinced, make a difference in two decades' time. So, as is often the case here, we'll have to be patient. But what a promise! Once again this year, take part in excellence and taste the finest Bordeaux has to offer.
