In addition to crafting a standout wine this vintage, Pontet-Canet doubles the pleasure with a price that’s once again nothing short of remarkable.

Despite the year’s many challenges—abundant rainfall, pressure from mildew—the estate has risen above it all and delivered a wine that wins over even the toughest critics. Voluptuous and silky as ever, the 2024 vintage leans into finesse and grace, offering a more restrained, mid-weight expression that suits the year beautifully.

Pontet-Canet has defied expectations once again, securing a top spot among the vintage’s finest. Precision adjustments in the vineyard, ultra-selective harvesting, and a focus on purity have yielded a wine that’s vibrant, expressive, and deeply aromatic. The Cabernet was given time to reach full ripeness, resulting in an uncommonly supple core wrapped in lush, velvety tannins.

The oak influence is more restrained this year—used with a lighter touch in favor of amphorae and previously used barrels, adding nuance without overshadowing the wine’s natural character. It’s a masterful balance that elevates the wine to something truly luminous.

Pontet-Canet continues to chart its own course, exploring the outer edges of elegance and purity in Bordeaux. A flagship for biodynamic farming, with horse-drawn plowing, concrete egg fermentation, and a deep-rooted sense of intuition, this Pauillac estate delivers a wine of rare vision and vitality.

A truly great wine—and a price that makes it all the more extraordinary.
