Wine:

It's the most sought-after, most adored, most appreciated premier cru in its appellation. The 2020 white Meursault 1er Cru Perrières from the Grivault family is a precious jewel, a 1.54-hectare plot - the world's finest Chardonnay, let's not forget! Charming and very mineral, Perrières refers to stone and limestone. A devil of a wine, both fat and perfectly limpid, with exquisite finesse and fragrance, it can easily be kept for thirty or forty years, offering itself with generosity, finesse and elegance, between buttery and saline notes. A great wine is born!

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, vinified in a controlled-fermentation cellar at 16°C in oak barrels, of which 1/5 are new and 4/5 are from 1 to 4 wines, alcoholic fermentation from 1 to 4 months, malolactic fermentation from 2 to 3 months, 1st racking then ageing in a cold ageing cellar at 13°C in the Place du Murger rock from 6 to 9 months in oak barrels of less than 4 wines.

Bright golden yellow.

Charming, carried by gentle minerality and floral aromas.

Fresh and mineral with fresh fruit, this seductive wine has a juice of great finesse and clarity.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Simmered Bresse poultry, scallop cassolette with curry, lobster croustade, noble fish.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2035, and even longer for enthusiasts.

The pride of Burgundy, Domaine Albert Grivault reigns unequivocally over the Côte de Beaune. While it owns royal shares in the best terroirs, each cuvée benefits from virtuoso vinification. The wines produced here - alas, in small quantities, as the estate covers only 6 hectares - far exceed the standards of their appellations, even overshadowing a number of grands crus...

The opportunity to buy a few bottles today has become quite rare, as the wines are difficult to access without allocation... Grab the very last bottles of the great 2020 vintage, VIP+ only.
