Located on parcels on the Beaune side, the Pommard 1er Cru Les Grands Épenots Rouge 2022 unveils a fresh and refined juice that stands out among its peers. Vinified with whole grapes, which enhances the finesse of the tannins in an infused style, and aged with 50% new barrels, it unfolds beautiful floral notes, particularly of rose and peony, in a full and silky mouthfeel. Velvet and great art!

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, vinified in whole bunches.
Aged in 456-liter barrels (50% new wood) for 9 months, then in vats for 4 months.

Bright, intense red.

Nose:

Notes of red and black fruits mixed with floral fragrances of peony and rose.

Palate:

Fine and fresh with full-bodied fruit, this cuvée with its infused profile develops ample, silky juice with fine, velvety tannins.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Venison stew with grand veneur sauce, rib of beef with salt, pheasant stuffed with foie gras.
