Wine:

With exquisite purity, the 2020 Red Vosne-Romanée offers a beautifully perfumed, fresh, and concentrated juice, supported by an outstanding vintage. This is a finely crafted Vosne, perfectly balanced by precise aging. It's a bottle worth keeping in the cellar for a bit longer, before enjoying it to the fullest—perhaps with a veal dish.

Hand-harvested, 100% destemmed, fermented for 3 weeks, punching down and pumping over, aged for 18 months in French oak barrels (30% new), bottled unfined with light filtration.

Color:

Intense, brilliant red.

Nose:

Aromas of red fruit with hints of raspberry.

Palate:

Of great purity and concentration, this wildly fragrant cuvée develops a fresh, concentrated juice, with controlled, fine-tuned ageing.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Gibelotte rabbit, herb-crusted prime rib, brioche sausage, simmered veal, Burgundy cheeses.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2028.

Founded in 2016, Côtes et Climats Pierre Mayeul crafts Burgundy wines with a strong identity and uncompromising quality. Frédéric Hirault, Matthieu Bouchard, and Ludivine Griveau meticulously select the best grapes, guided by their deep technical expertise and precise knowledge of Burgundy’s finest terroirs.

With a focus on strong identity, small volumes, and great terroirs, their approach may seem straightforward, but it’s made all the more complex by their unwavering commitment to excellence. Ludivine Griveau brings the same level of dedication to this project that she has always upheld in her work.
