Wine:

From two parcels of old vines farmed organically across 1.30 ha, the 2021 red Bourgogne Côte d'Or Pinot Noir is a small production that brilliantly showcases the domain's style. This opening cuvée, with notes of morello cherry and plum, red fruit jelly, flowers, and sweet spices, is invitingly soft and delicate. The broad, silky, and tender structure makes for an easily accessible wine, with discreet tannins supporting a good, fresh fruit character tinged with spices. The energetic and tense finish rounds off the ensemble confidently. A very pretty wine to enjoy with parsley ham or roasted chicken.

Vinification:

Harvested by hand. Aged for around 10 months in oak barrels, then racked and placed in vats for 2 months before bottling. Annual production of around 6,000 bottles.

2 parcels of 1.30 ha: one planted in 1929 and the other in 1980. Non-certified organic vines.

Color:

Bright, intense red.

Nose:

Aromas of Morello cherry, plum and red fruit jelly mixed with notes of flowers and sweet spices.

Palate:

Full-bodied, silky and tender, this cuvée is easy to drink, with discreet tannins, good fresh fruit tinged with spice and a finish that is both energetic and taut.

Serve between 14 and 16°C in a large glass.

Blue-veined ham, grilled meats, roast free-range poultry.

From now until 2028.

A giant in Meursault, Domaine François Mikulski is a coveted address among enthusiasts. Critically acclaimed, its wines stand among the finest Burgundies, celebrated for their truthful expression of their terroirs and authenticity.

For over 30 years, François Mikulski, and now his son-in-law Thomas Boccon, have been forging a path of excellence where purity, finesse, and freshness bring out the best. Organic farming practices, restrained use of new oak, and precise maturities all converge towards balance, resulting in precise cuvées that eschew power for elegance.

This discreet winery excites the connoisseur community; unfortunately, quantities are limited, and opportunities to procure its wines are scarce.
