Domaine Y.Clerget - Puligny-Montrachet 1er cru - Les Perrières - Blanc - 2021

Wine:

Adorned with all the care of Thibaud Clerget, who has been crafting this ultra-precise range of négociant wines since 2019, the 2021 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Perrières does not betray its origins. It is a high-bred Chardonnay, a model of mineral and smooth Puligny, where the wood envelops justly and supports the whole. It's a pleasure to taste, and it promises a good aging potential of 6 to 7 years more.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested. This cuvée is made from grapes purchased from the 1er cru Les Perrières vineyard, located to the south of the village's grands crus and adjacent to Les Charmes. Aged 11 months in new oak barrels, then 4 months in vats after blending.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C in a large glass.

Food and wine pairing:

Fillet of sole with tarragon butter, roasted scallops, Bresse poultry in a light cream sauce, sweetbreads with white truffles.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2030 and beyond for enthusiasts.
