Placed at the top of the Burgundy hierarchy, the 2016 Red Corton Grand Cru Clos du Roi is an exceptional bottle. This wine comes from an old hillside vineyard of barely one hectare, at an altitude of over 300 meters, in the eponymous place. It is an intense pinot noir, with notes of ripe fruit and morello cherry, with a touch of raspberry and hints of oak. The texture is of perfect elegance, intense, deep and with all the necessary stature of a Grand Cru. It is a wine of great potential that will evolve for another 5 or 10 years. A beautiful bottle rated 17/20 by our Selection Committee.Vinification:

The Domaine d’Ardhuy is one of our favorite estates from the Côte d’Or that has the particularity of having a vineyard equally spread over the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. The vast range produced here in biodynamic farming is a perfect representation of its terroirs. The estate crafts wonderful Grands Crus and Premiers Crus, among which its famous Clos des Langres, a 3 hectares monopoly.
