Wine:

Located on the southern part of the hillside, at an altitude of 240 meters, the 2020 red Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Corvées Pagets is planted on 30 ares of fine, extremely stony, clay soil. Combining power and elegance, this dense wine is destined to age for around ten years, thanks to perfectly controlled ageing with one-third new oak. An assertive classic.

Vinification:

Hand-picked on August 22, 2020 (root day). Grapes not crushed and vatted by gravity. No yeasting or enzyming. Cold pre-fermentation maceration (12-15°C) for 5 days. Total maceration 21 days. 2 punchings of the cap during vatting, then one light pumping-over per day until the end of vatting. Pressing with a vertical press. Aged 16 months in barrels, 30% of which are new (origin of wood: Cîteaux and Tronçais forests). All barrels racked. No fining, light filtration. Bottling on December 6, 2021 (fruit day). Production limited to 1887 bottles.
Parcel of 0.3327 ha, planted in 1987/1988. Organic farming since 1998, Ecocert approval received in 2000. Biodynamic farming without certification.
