Wine:

From 0.41 hectares of vines planted in 1963, the 2022 White Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru Morgeot stands out for its remarkable finesse and pronounced minerality. With notes of candied lemon, a hint of salinity, and perfectly ripe fruit, it unfolds across a broad, expressive palate with impressive persistence and balance. This is a powerful, savoury wine, driven by intense salinity and destined for long ageing. Rated 93/100 by RVF, it’s a superb example of the appellation’s potential.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Aged for 12 months in 350-litre barrels, 15-20% of which are new, then 4-6 months in vats before bottling. Vines on 0.41 ha, on the ‘Francemont’ plot, planted in 1963, organically grown (not certified).
