Corton Grand Cru Le Rognet Red 2021 lives up to its reputation with a wonderful aroma of black fruits, floral notes, accompanied by fresh and silky tannins, and a subtle touch of oak. We loved this noble material where oak never dominates; it's incredibly delicious and stands out from the often austere character of this appellation. Partial whole bunch fermentation and restrained aging play a significant role, preserving the wine's grace and fruit. Already very good, it will become even greater in a few years!Vinification:
Hand-harvested. Aging for 12 to 18 months in French oak barrels.
Temperature:
To be served between 14 and 16°C.Food and wine pairing:
Red meats, beef cheek in Pinot Noir, pigeon, game birds, veal loin with lingonberries, sweetbreads with a simple black truffle sauce.Cellar aging:
From today until 2037 and beyond for enthusiasts.
The Clerget family, rooted in Burgundy since the 13th century, has been carrying on their winemaking legacy with heart and passion. For nearly a decade now, Domaine Yvon Clerget has been under the stewardship of Thibaud, the brilliant son of the family, who is doing exemplary work.
With intelligence and patience, this exceptional winemaker crafts wines from 6 hectares that are full-bodied, expressive, and perfectly aligned with their terroirs: Meursault, Vougeot, Corton, Pommard, and of course, the heart of the estate, Volnay!
