Wine:
From a limestone terroir and the oldest vines on the estate, the 2016 red Barbaresco Curra is a sumptuous wine with exceptional aging potential. This is definitely a wine from a great terroir, and nowhere more so than in Barbaresco. This particular terroir doesn't produce the most colorful wines but the most strikingly fine; indeed, this is a striking Nebbiolo, very pure, with lacy fruit on the opening, where the power of the terroir is fully asserted with beautiful accents of spice, dried flowers, rose, undergrowth aromas of great class. The structure is very elegant, with tannins that will become even more refined; a very digestible wine, like all the wines of the estate, which gains in depth with aeration and whose soft finish, with this register of potpourri and rose, is simply magnificent!
