The 2018 red IGP Toscana Costa Suisassi, one of Italy’s finest Syrahs, captivated Olivier Poussier, Best Sommelier in the World. It reveals fresh aromas of violet and Sichuan pepper, with a palate that is rich and velvety. Its refined tannins and vibrant character create an exceptional balance, showcasing the depth and precision of this outstanding wine. A must-try for Syrah enthusiasts. Hand harvested. 17-year-old vines located in Riparbella. About 30% whole grapes. Spontaneous fermentation using indigenous yeasts, with temperature control, in barrels with manual punching down and in small, conical, 1,000-litre oak vats, 80% of which are new, with pumping over. Skin maceration for 30 days. Aged for 22 months in the same barrels and small conical oak vats. No fining or filtration. Bottled at the estate on 16 October 2020. Production of 5,000 bottles, 100 magnums, 12 double magnums and 2 impériales.Certified organic (by BioAgriCert) and biodynamic (by Demeter).
